My latest find.....

...I walked into one of my favourite antique shops this weekend and the first thing I saw was...ta dah!... this fabulous antique corset. It's handmade in the most beautiful peachy cream silk with tulle and tiny pearl beads. This first shot is me being arty by antiqueing it and fading the colours out...

...this is a more realistic idea of the colour. I knew I wanted it just to hang on the wall and look at every day! It's absolutely exquisite and makes a lovely focal point at the end of my antique French bed...

  1. This is absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn't mind seeing this at the end of my bed either. :) I make paper corsets and would love to do a blog post about this as well as use if for inspiration for one of my paper creations. Full credit would be given to you as the creator of the image of course. Let me know what you think. Thank you.

  2. By all means use the inspiration, let's share the love of vintage!! Do keep in touch and let me see what you create? Keep blogging!

  3. Awesome, Kerry. Thank you! My post will publish today at 6:00 a.m. Pacific time. It's a small post for now that basically just touches on what I like about this corset and introduces the idea of using it to inspire a fine art project. I will keep in touch.

    Cheers! =D

  4. I just have to say that I'm so in love with this beautiful corset and the wonderful photo of it. What inspiration it has given me :)
