Kilner jar soap dispenser...

...so I had a beautiful new white ceramic sink fitted last week - is it tragic that I'm excited about that?
Anyway, I decided that a plastic Fairy bottle wasn't going to cut it anymore and made this dish soap dispenser from an old Kilner jar and a recycled pump. I made the image from a pharmacy label from the Graphics Fairy's website - thanks again Karen - you're a lifesaver! I printed it onto Safmat film to stick to the jar

In my travels I also found this oval Kilner jar with foreign (Polish?) writing on. It's really pretty so I'll keep it for something nice!

  3. If I could I'd be there to visit your shop, saw many items in the photo I'd love to have. Your jars are lovely, would sure like to have them, I have a thing for jars, especially different shapes and makers. Our canning jars that are so popular here in U.S. are made by Ball. I have several of the older ones with the blue color and one bigger older one with a greenish/blue glass. Those jars have been all over the country with us, when we move my jars come with me. Don't think we'll be moving any more as hubs thinks we're getting too old (he's 71, I'm 72).
OH how I would so love to visit England. I've always wanted to as I've read many of English, Scottish and Irish authors. One of my very favorites is Rosamunde Pilcher. I've read the Shell Seekers so many times. I've also read alot of Maeve Binchy's novels, she's the Irish Author. Just reading about all the places has always fascinated me. My heritage is Swiss, English, just a little French Canadian. My maiden name was Scofield.
    Your merchandise is incredible.
Isn't it great what Karen at Graphics Fairy does for us all every day? I so love her blog.
If I ever hit the lottery I'll be traveling to England, Wales, all over the place over there. I'd love to see Switzerland where my material Grandmother was from. Good luck on your venture.

  4. Hi! I'm so glad you like English (and Irish) literature - there's so much of it! I too have read the Shell Seekers. I love Daphne Du Maurier as well especially Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel. It all fits in with my love of old things - I'd love to live at Manderley or Satis House (Miss Haversham's house in Great Expectations)! I've just seen the new film version of Great Expectations and loved the costumes, buildings etc. I'm a sucker for all the period dramas on TV - do you get Downton Abbey in the States? I'm sure you'd love it. Keep in touch.
